| Dean Sansalone executed by firing squad
“Sansalone’s execution should serve as an effective warning to future leaders in the engineering school: don’t change a goddamn thing before you secure the express written permission of every subordinate, even if you’re the one who’s ostensibly making decisions,” said sophomore Alex Kahler, who had earlier urged Sansalone’s removal. Sansalone had expected to resolve the issue by resigning from her position as dean, but it quickly became apparent that this would not be sufficient. Citing a Student Life article noting that her resignation would be inappropriate because “[t]he University cannot simply get rid of Dean Sansalone so quickly and under such circumstances without tarnishing its image,” Chancellor Mark Wrighton ordered her killed. “This is the most effective, permanent solution. I realize that, through StudLife, the students and faculty made it clear that resignation would not be enough, and I acted on this,” said Wrighton at a press conference Monday. |
DID YOU KNOW? If soap made you dirty, and dirt made you clean, then soap would still make you clean. Think about it.
