The Eastern Review publishes funny article
ST. LOUIS, MO -- Sources close to the founders of The Eastern Review have confirmed that the internet magazine has finally published something funny.
"We're really not sure what took us so long," said one of the head editors, who asked to remain nameless, and then burned off his fingerprints. "This'll prevent any further identification. The government has been after our asses since day one, and frankly, I'm sick of it." Insiders say that the humor involves various techniques, including irony, synecdoche, and contraposition. We have little details about the article in question, but those insiders who have worked closely with the writers have identified the article as a news report with approximately five paragraphs and a local dateline. The most ironic part, insiders report, is that The Eastern Review is supposed to be serious.
